May 20 Cambria County – Concurrent Technologies Corporation ETF Facility

July 22  Washington County – Consol Energy Park parking lot

Aug. 19  Allegheny County – Boyce Park Ski Lodge parking lot

Sept. 16  Allegheny County South Park Wave Pool parking lot

Oct. 14  Beaver County – Brady’s Run Park (recycling center)

Fee: $3/Gallon (a few exceptions apply) CASH ONLY

Acceptable Items Include:

  • aerosol cans
  • automotive fluids
  • batteries
  • chemistry sets
  • compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs)
  • gasoline and kerosene
  • household cleaners
  • mercury
  • paint/paint products
  • pesticides/herbicides
  • photo and pool chemicals
  • NEW IN 2017- camp fuel/small propane bottles

2017 Hard to Recycle Collections

July 29  La Roche College – 9000 Babcock Blvd.  McCandless, PA 15237

Aug. 12  Century III Mall  – 3075 Clairton Rd, West Mifflin, PA 15123

Oct. 7  Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool – Ridge Road, Robinson Township, PA 15205

No Cost:  cell and home phones, CFL bulbs, computer towers and peripheral equipment, expanded polystyrene packaging material, microwave ovens, stereo equipment, VCRs, DVD players, and cable boxes.

Fee charged:  batteries, CDs, DVDs, floppy discs, fluorescent tubes, printers, small Freon appliances, stereo speakers, tires (car/truck) with/without rims

monitor: $20, TV: $30, projection or console TV: $40
